First, you inquire.

You’ve browsed photographers, you inquired with the ones that align with your needs, and see if they are available for your date.

Once I receive the inquiry form I cozy up and read all about you and your love story! I see if I am available and if it is a good fit. Then I message you back with my package options and available dates for a call.

Then, we schedule a call.

We will then confirm a date for our call, which are typically between 15-30 minutes. During this call I will share with you about my process, answer any questions you have, and get a connection.

Should you decide it’s a good fit I will send you info on how to secure your date — that means it’s official!

We conceptualize.

Now’s my favorite part — conceptualizing your vision! I will send you an in-depth questionnaire about your unique love, what you want photographically out of the day, request your mood board, special details, and more.

It’s wedding day!

We’ve done all the planning, anticipating this day and now we’ve arrived. You get the excited butterflies and get to enjoy the day knowing it’s all being orchestrated by your vendors - we got you! Soak it all in.

Receive your gallery.

You have that post-wedding high, you’re on cloud nine with your lover and you get that little notification bell, “your photos are ready!” and you get to relive the highlights of your day over and over again.

FAQ’S

  • I live in sunny Santa Barbara, California and am available worldwide for whatever other paradise you have in mind! Mention that you are planning a destination wedding in your inquiry form so I can send you a custom quote.

  • For weddings I deliver a preview of about 25-50 photos within one week of your wedding day — because I know how excited you are to see and post this special moment! and I will send you your full gallery at a maximum of 8 weeks of your wedding day.

For elopements and small weddings - a preview of about 10-20 photos within one week and your full gallery at a maximum of 4 weeks.

For couple sessions your gallery will be delivered at a maximum of three weeks. Because these are faster turn-around times, there is no need for a preview.

  • I do touch-up minor blemishes, a broken nail, bruises, rashes, or anything temporary that does not reflect you or your season of life well. I do not photoshop objects or people out of the background or drastically alter appearances as I believe this alters the organicity of the day. Not to worry though, my job as a photographer is to seek beautiful locations and flatter your true appearance!

  • For weddings + elopements, I require a 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining fee is due one month before your wedding or elopement. For couple sessions, I require a 50% deposit to secure your date as well, and the remaining fee is due one week before your session. Payment plans are available upon request.

  • A LOT of couples are afraid of being awkward in front of the camera. Trust me, you are not exceptionally awkward or un-photogenic. Everybody thinks this about themselves. Even me! It really is about the photographer and their talent with lighting, angles, zoom, all kinds of stuff that makes a photo turn out good. I will show you some photos as we go a long to assure you that you look great. I will also be guiding you the whole time with cues and poses so don’t worry!

  • I don’t at the moment. Digital is far more reliable on wedding days for their double SD card holders, crispness, and ability to adjust settings and view the photos as you take them. I do often include some inspired edits in my galleries. This is not garunteed, just a creative little extra something I do if it looks good for the photo. If this is something you’d like be sure to let me know so I can prioritize it!

  • First off, if something happens and you have to change your date I will see if I am available on the new date. I If I am available I will re-send the contract with your new date for an additional fee of $50.

If I am unavailable on your new date I will see if an associate can take my place day of. I will still handle all communication and editing to ensure that the photographic style will remain as what you signed up for!

If no one is available to take my place the original deposit cannot be refunded, however I am happy to suggest other photographers in my network who may be available.

If you are canceling and not rescheduling, your initial deposit is non-refundable as I’ve my services unavailable to anyone else for this day.

  • You can cancel - though I hope you won’t have to! Please note the initial deposit to book is non-refundable. As soon as it is booked via the deposit and contract I make my services unavailable to anyone else for this day.

  • Rain can actually make for a super fun wedding and great photos (seriously!)

Here are a few suggestions for how to make the day go smoother: clear or fun colored umbrellas for guests, tents to stay dry under, a dress to change into for the reception, stations in the bathrooms for guests to touch up, wear your hair up, and a stunning white rain coat!

With all this said, if the weather is life-threatening (or gear threatening) we will reschedule!

  • For large weddings a second shooter is recommended, especially if the bride and groom prep locations are far away from one another.

Second shooters add variety to your gallery with more fun shots and angles, insures every little thing gets photographed, and it helps me to be more involved with the most important aspects by having my second take care of other coverage.

Email me if you’d like guidance on this for your wedding.

  • Yay!! I’m so excited! First please fill out the form on my inquire page. I will get back to you over email with my availability for your date and we will schedule an introductory call to chat about my process and answer any of your questions. From there one you’ve decided on which package is right for you I will send the contract and deposit over to secure your date. Then let the planning commence!
